“I work together with colleagues to ensure the new milk processing plant in Heerenveen is ready for production. This is the first gas-free dairy factory in the world. By using energy efficiently, we’ve achieved a 40% reduction compared to traditional processes. I think it’s amazing to be part of this—how often do you get the chance to help start up an entirely new factory? I always dig deep into everything and look for ways to make processes even better. As a child, I was already very inquisitive. I constantly wanted to know why something was the way it was, why someone did something, and what was behind it. That investigative mindset still serves me well today because it helps me check and test processes. It also helps me create new ideas and take initiative. I see that same solution-oriented and innovative attitude in my team. Once we’re up and running, I want to explore how we can get even more out of the processes. So I definitely won’t be bored anytime soon!”
