Intention to take over Ausnutria Ommen by Ikwileerlijkezuivel.nl

Ausnutria and Ikwileerlijkezuivel.nl have expressed their intention to investigate the possibility of taking over Ausnutria’s production location in Ommen (Ausnutria Ommen B.V.). Employees of Ausnutria Ommen were informed about this today.

The coming period will be used to investigate whether the takeover can go ahead and in what form. Both parties are currently in discussions about this.

For some of the employees of Ausnutria Ommen, this could mean that they will keep their jobs. It is expected that there will be more clarity about this intention to take over by the end of August.

Ausnutria is the global market leader in baby and infant nutrition based on goat’s milk with the Kabrita brand, active in more than 60 countries. The originally Dutch company has its Dutch head office in Zwolle, 5 production locations and local subsidiaries in the Middle East, the United States, Europe, Mexico and China, among others. The production locations are located in Heerenveen, Leeuwarden, Kampen and Ommen. In January, Ausnutria announced that it would close its production location in Ommen due to changing market conditions and a recalibration of its business strategy.
