Ausnutria pursues its mission with due consideration to the society in which it operates. In this respect Ausnutria not only focuses on opportunities, but also on its responsibilities. Growing children are vulnerable. Access to the right nutrition is essential for their development. Producing and providing access to healthy and nutritional infant formula is the core activity of our organisation.
The healthiest and most nutritious baby food is, in the first place, the mother’s milk. We therefore endorse the principle that babies should be breast-fed for the first six months of their lives, in accordance with the recommendations of the World Health Organisation (WHO). We also promote breast-feeding babies for as long as possible after the first six months. For babies that are not breast-fed, we offer high-quality infant formula.
Quality & Food Safety
Because we produce products for an exceptionally vulnerable target group, quality and food safety are our number one priority. On the basis of the Ausnutria quality system, we safeguard the processes required to guarantee an excellent and safe product.
Laws and Regulations
Our processes and products are based on the Codex Alimentarius legislation, the GB (China) the EU and Dutch infant formula & foods legislation. In addition, Ausnutria possesses the knowledge required to develop recipes that are specifically geared to local laws and regulations in countries outside the EU.
Our quality systems are certified* in accordance with the following national and international standards:
- FSSC22000 Food Manufacturing
- IFS Food
- BRC Food
- GMP+ Animal Feed Safety
In addition, we are certified for the production of:
- Organic products
- Halal products
- Kosher products
*Certifications vary by production location.
All raw materials and end products are elaborately tested for food safety and quality aspects by reputable & accredited laboratories. All Ausnutria locations are regularly inspected by the Netherlands' Controlling Authority for Milk and Milk Products (COKZ) and by various certification bodies.
Corporate Social Responsibility
The quality principles of Ausnutria respond to society’s demand for sustainability. We have extensive experience in our market and continually work to improve our operational management. We aim to limit the impact on the environment when purchasing our raw materials and manufacturing and distributing our products by optimising our working methods.
To increase the transparency of our working methods in this area, we publish an Sustainablity Report each year together with our parent and sister organisations (collectively the Ausnutria Group). For more information, please visit the website of Ausnutria Dairy Corporation Ltd.
In our organisation, involvement also means having due consideration for the world around us. Our mission NOURISHING LIFE & GROWTH expresses our conviction that everyone deserves the opportunity to be nourished on the basis of choices that are right for them: in relation to nutrition, but also in relation to opportunities and development. Our sponsor and donor policy was also developed on the basis of this conviction. The basis of this policy is special attention for children, whereby we aim to make a contribution to helping them get the best out of their future.
As organisation we are always open to opportunities for making a contribution to this and to strengthen the positive experience with our organisation. If you are interested in a partnership in this area, contact us at firstname.lastname@example.org
