Strong growth in revenue and result for Ausnutria

15-08-2018

Ausnutria Dairy Corporation Ltd., parent company of Ausnutria B.V., published its 2018 interim results. In the first six months of the year, the company realized a profit of 34.3 million euros. An increase of 73.2 percent compared to the same period in 2017. Turnover increased by more than 51.6 percent, from 220 million euros to 334 million euros.

Growth of own brands

The continuous improvement of Ausnutria's financial performance is mainly due to the increase in sales of its own brands infant formula products based on (organic) cow and goat milk and the further strengthening of its distribution network. The sale of its own brands accounted for more than 80 percent of the group's turnover. The worldwide increased recognition for the Kabrita brand, infant formula based on goat's milk, contributed significantly to the growth of the organization. Kabrita is a product of Dutch origin: its continuous development and production takes place in the Netherlands.

Heerenveen

At the beginning of this year, commercial production was started at the new production locations in Heerenveen. Production at these locations was further scaled up during the first half of the year.

Growing organization

Ausnutria in the Netherlands currently employs about 550 people spread across its head office in Zwolle and production locations in Ommen, Kampen, Leeuwarden and Heerenveen. Partly due to the expansion of production capacity in Heerenveen and Leeuwarden, a further growth in personnel is foreseen. “As a growing organization, we are constantly looking for quality-conscious employees for various positions. Although we have to deal with the difficult labor market in the Netherlands, we can still reasonably fill our vacancies. As a medium-sized dairy company, we have a unique position in this industry thanks to an accessible and more informal organization and short decision lines. We are characterized by an open, down-to-earth and entrepreneurial corporate culture, in which people can help build this growing organization from their own initiative. That makes Ausnutria an attractive employer." Says Bart van der Meer, CEO of Ausnutria B.V.

Ausnutria is worldwide active with sales offices in the United States, Russia, the Middle East, China and Brazil. The Dutch company Ausnutria B.V. forms an important part, both strategically and in terms of contribution to the results, of its parent organization Ausnutria Dairy Corporation, based in Hong Kong.
